Assignment:
Start finding or making the equipment you need. Your first safari is in lesson 13. I recommend forceps, a standard net and a kill jar:
Forceps
Net – standard nets for students
Net – water nets
Net – professional series
Kill Jar options
Ethyl Acetate or nail polish remover
Zip block clear plastic bags for temporary insect storage
*Instead of Ethyl Acetate, you can also use rubbing alcohol in a jar or vial to preserve insects.

Insect pins size #2 (one pack).
Pinning block to assist with pinning insect specimens
Spreading board for insects with wings

*To save money, you can make your own display case. Or you can use foam to pin insects into.
