It’s time to add simple movements to help you break the ice on stage. Don’t stand rooted to one location for your whole speech. You really need to be comfortable enough that you can make simple movements while on stage. What do I mean by simple movements? Well, watch the lesson video to learn the basics.
Assignment:
Review the story you wrote as a speech yesterday. Think about places in your speech where you can add simple movements that will let you move around, and loosen up a little. Looking tense, or frozen like a statue, will always make your audience feel just as uncomfortable as you look. On the flip side, I’m not asking you to start dancing for your presentations, just loosen up a little.
Practice your speech all the way through with these new, simple movements, to get the hang of basic body language on stage.
